Michael Stubbs founded NFP Europe in 2005 as a result of his passion to bring innovative trends and practices from Europe and Scandinavia to the UK timber industry.

He felt it was about time that focus was put on high quality life cost products, instead of continuing the culture of price and volume being the top criteria.

As a fully natural and renewable source, we believe that timber should be the first choice for modern business and building materials  — and we are able to advise our clients on the right timber products for their specifications.

Michael lived in Scandinavia for a few years working with a large Forest Products Group. It was through this role that he gained invaluable insight into modern practices within the paper, pulp plywood and sawn goods industries.

After a number of senior executive roles within Global Forest Product companies and management experience within divisions of both PLC and private timber companies here in the UK, Michael now uses his experience to develop the business. He also brings a wealth of maturity and experience in purchasing, sales, marketing and product development.

Through his career, Michael has earned significant respect and an excellent reputation with his partners and connections that include big brand names from within the industry.

Alison looks after the finance and accounts for NFP Europe, but having been with the company from the very beginning she also understands the clients, suppliers and partners so well that she supports the business in a much broader way.

She will do whatever it takes to ensure that an order is made correctly, checking that the right goods are delivered at the right time.

Roger heads up the sawn timber division and brings with him a wealth of experience gained within the Finnish and Baltic sawmilling industries. In addition Roger is responsible for the training, technical support and sales of our two composite decking brands EasyDeck and megawood in the North of the United Kingdom.

Roger’s knowledge of the industry at all levels has meant that suppliers and clients alike have trust in his advice and recommendations. Whether looking for and negotiating vessel volumes, or small intricate projects, quality price and service are never compromised.

With his office in Beverley Yorkshire it means that customers in the North of England and Scotland are within easy reach.
